Having 3 days left for your date to be current does not mean much if you are thinking of getting your GC on oct 1. Not everyone gets the GC as soon as the dates get current. Ask people whose dates became current in June. Have you also checked if your name check is cleared?

Thanks MC thats a valid Point.
There are 2 reasons that I thought of for not applying / renewing.
1) I'm not planning on going anywhere after / atleast for a year.
2) My wife's AP filed last year took Six months to get approved and what happens if you fly out while your AP is pending / sent for renewal. I read in this forum, not fly out, while you AP is pending.

We live in business world. Bright Companies pay salary at bad economic times to retain skilled employees. Desi companies pay more even during bench to retain employees, american companies dont and lay them off. That is precicly the reason desi companies succeed.

I am on F-1 applied I-485 and I-765 (EAD) on July 3 but there is no RN till yet. Can I apply for OPT-EAD which USCIS process in 11 weeks?????

Yes, in my case we wouldn't be using the experience gained with the current employer as I already have the required 1 year experience before joining the employer.
My fear is that DOL/USCIS would come back and say hey you have almost the same requirement for both the positions, why does one require only MS+1 while the other accepts BS+3..

I have a question though. If your new Job duties are 50% different then won't it affect your pending i485 application as AC21 requires new job to be same or similar to keep I485 valid? Also, Any new job will be similar and wondering if switching to a different company will help in this case? Will they be able to file a new EB2 PERM LC for me or will i get same response that i got from present company?

BSc in physics - 3 yr India degree
PG diploma in Instrumentation - 1 Yr India PG diploma
PG dip in marketing mgmt - 1 Yr India PG dip (E learning)
PG dip in buiness admin - 1 Yr India PG dip (E learning)
MBA - 3 Yr India PG degree (E learning)
6 yrs in healthcare, 2 yrs in sales, 5 yrs as Business analyst with Indian s/w vendor. 13 yrs in total.
Does my job ad allow me to qualify for EB2? Will I have any issues at my I-140 stage? Pls share your thoughts

This is the place lawyers provide better advise - how to match (req. vs exp.), so that they can defend case in case of RFE.
As such the job req. seems to be EB2. It has no relationship with individual. Individual have to match it.

Let us try to schedule a meet with the prospective presidential Candidates (McCain, Clinton and Obama) instead to let them know our issues.
By the time we actually get a meeting with the current president, his term may have expired. The presidential candidates, on the other hand will have some time now (not a whole lot but a little). If we squeeze some time there, we may be able to atleast get our issues out there.

I posted this question sometime back since I am in the same situation. I did get some response back and you are in the right track. On this issue, the regulations are very unclear. So far I have not found anything that says we can transfer to a new employer on 7th year and gain 8th year with them. AC21 allows H1B portability but unclear when it comes to 7/8th year. In my oppinion, safest way to go thru this issue is to apply for remaining 7th year and 8th year extension, 6 months before the 7th year expires. My new employer will only hire me only if 8th year gets approved since this will allow them to file for the new GC thru PERM. I did talk to couple lawyers but Mr. Micheal Khosla (http://www.usimmigration.net/index.html) is very confident & clear about this issue. Plese check his website for other informations. I hope I am being helpful here and please let me know how things work out for you.

H1b visa holder has to quote his/her worldwide income and its unclear if your income in your home country is taxed here be it Adsense income or a business.
No wonder many entrepreneurial ideas either die or are taking roots in Korea, India or China!

Yes you can apply today , per Aug bulletin it's all "U" , forgot about that !!!!
