Hi all,
I think my scenario is little complicated.I have my I140 (EB3) cleared with previous employer and my current company has filed new labor and I140 (EB2). They are trying to capture the priority date of my old I140 approval (August 2006).
While my current I140 is still going on, can I apply for I1-485 due to sudden improvement shown for EB2 category in September Visa bulletin.
Please advice.

Greetings everyone.
I ran into these forums few days ago and realized what I have been missing for the past few years :-). Anyway, my GC priority date is Nov 2005 under EB2 (India). I am very GC-illiterate in the sense that after actively tracking and monitoring it for a year or so after filing for labor, I kind of gave up on the fact that I was going to get GC anytime soon and moved on. Except for replying to lawyer's emails whenever I get them, I didn't really monitor anything else. Anyway, here is some additional information -
1) I applied along with everyone else in July 2007 for I-485 and got my EAD.
2) I went for VISA stamping in Hyderabad in Nov 2009 and got 221(g) (I had all the documents but you know how 221(g)s were given out at Hyd like M&Ms at that time) and upon lawyer's recommendation entered the country through AP.
3) A part of my company was recently acquired by a different very large MNC and I chose to remain in the other half which wasn't acquired and we chose to do business as (DBA) as a different company. Lawyer said she took care of it on the GC app - I am guessing she filed for AC-21.
4) I currently applied for a EAD (current one expires in couple of months) and AP.
Long story short, my app status currently shows, "post-decision activity" -->Does it mean they already took the decision? Is there a chance something could go wrong in the next few weeks? I called the lawyer's office yesterday and they said I should hear from them in the first week of August and if the app status doesn't change, they will open a SR on my behalf around Aug 10th...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

We had applied for an extension of my in-laws visa, and it got rejected. Is there any way we can appeal this decision?
Also, they are here a day past their I-94 expiration. Will their multiple entry visas be cancelled? They will leave within 30 days time past their I-94 expiration.

I m an MBA(major:general mba)student in a university in texas. I have an bachelors of engineeing (electrical & electronics)from india. I have found an desi employer who is ready to train me in SAP (FICO)functional and than place me on projects to diffeent companies. Since i m graduating in august 2008 ,At first i have to work for him on OPT and than in apil 2009 my employer will sponcer my h1 visa.
Now my question is....
1) can i work in SAP FICO functional , when i m on my opt?(opt means i have to work in a job directly related to my major field of study and i guess SAP is not related to my field major field of study)
2)will i have problems getting a h1b visa? (since General MBA and SAP are completely different fields )
Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

I got a soft lud back in December on my approved 140 on a Sunday (along with several other IV members)... but nothing since then!

I think mom's in the forum can answer this better since i am sure many of them took short term disablity during delivery and subsequent months. My wife took it twice for the birth of our children and I dont think it is an issue.

Alexey - I only have a very basic understanding of Grids in both Silverlight and Flex! With that said, the Grid control is fairly complex in both Flex and Silverlight. Porting between them might be tricky, but I've never tried so I am only guessing.
I'll pass your feedback on to some colleagues who may either have an answer or use your feedback for future Grid-related improvements :)
I'm going to play with Grid a bit inside Blend and see if I can come up with a workaround.

As per policy, employer B is not going to file GC for me. Already I spend 5 years on my H1B. I check with EMP A�s HR dept, they will not revoke my I-140 and H1B. Hello - I have a unique situation. I'm currently in the US on H1B, and my fiance is in India working for a reputed software company. We are planning to get married by end of April.
I want her to come to US on a work visa (hopefully H1B). I got to know that to make the FY09 H1B cap, she has to apply for H1B on Apr 1 2008, and wait till Oct 1 to travel if her visa gets approved. But since we are getting married by end of April, I don't want her to stay in India till October while I'm here.
The other option I was thinking was to apply for her H1B on Apr 1, but still go ahead and apply for H4 in early May, so that she can travel on H4 in May. And once her H1 is approved, she would already be in the US and can start working from Oct 1. Is this possible? Will this plan create any problems for her H4 or H1 visa application?
If the above does not work, what are my other options? If I miss the Apr 1 2008 deadline, the next earliest she can apply for H1 is Apr 1 2009, and work from Oct 1 2009 - and I don't want to wait that long.
Another option is to get married before Apr, get her to US on H4 before Apr, and apply for change of status to H1 on Apr 2008. But the marriage plans for Apr is made and to push the dates back would not be easy.

Yes..you can apply for AP. It is the only way you can reenter into US. I applied for my F1 (spouse) too.
Yes you can write that same reason for the AP appplication.
BTW your F1 is not valid anymore since you showed immigration intent. You are still legal status. If you have Tuition waver/ Stipend or oncampus job...you should also apply for EAD so that you can continue to earn money.
DO check with International office in your university.

The reason that your code is not working is that e.Key only references the most recently pressed key, so it can't be equal to 3 different keys at once.
If nothing else, couldn't you maintain a list/array of the currently pressed keys? You could update the list with handlers for KeyUps and KeyDowns and figure out whether a certain combination of keys was pressed by iterating through the array. I'm not sure if there is built-in functionality to do this, but it would be easy enough to implement.
