i have a trip scheduled via dubai to bombay and back. Intend to stay for 3-4 days on my way to bombay as well as 3-4 days returning back. How do i get transit visas for both of these short term visits.

hello all..
im currently living in NJ and my i-140 was approved.. since im on EB3 and my priority date is on 4/2008 i still have some time to wait in order for a visa to be eligible to me..
my main concern is : i would like to know if its possible for me to obtain a driver license with the approval notice i received from USCIS (i -797c Notice of action).. does my employer will need to fill out any forms for for that to happen ?? if so, what kind of forms :(
any help is appreciated..

Hi, Please let me know your thought on my situation. I was on H1 thru Company A. I don't have pay stubs for the last 3 months of 2005 since i was on bench, but got the salary that is mentioned on LCA in pay stubs till end of Sept. When I asked my employer to pay me for the time on bench he said that he has paid the LCA salary and doesn't have to pay.
So having said that, am I in Status or Out of Status?
If the W-2 is for more than the LCA requirement, you don't have any thing to worry about.

That was taken last October on the Island of Dominica at a place called Emerald Pool (believed to be the "fountain of youth" by the locals). The girl in the pic is my girlfriend's sister and didn't mind playing model for me. :)
I'll try to find a color shot of the pool and waterfall for you. Very nice place, buried in the rain forest.

My company filed my 7th year H1 extension and my wife's H4 petition at the same time in Dec 2006. USCIS online case status shows received and in process for both H1 and H4.
Recently, we upgraded to premium processing. However, only the H1 case status now shows as being done under premium processing. Does that mean that only my H1 will be premium processed and not H4 even though they both were filed together. Is this normal. I am hoping both H1 and H4 will be premium processed. I know that USCIS adjudicates H4 also in premium processing for such cases as a courtesy. Just wanted to know if anyone has been under similar situation before and got only their H1 approved in premium and not H4....The whole purpose of me upgrading to PP was to get H4 approved before the H1 quota begins in April as our H1/H4 were expiring this summer and my wife's employer is filing a H1 COS petition for her in PP under the 2008 H1 quota....Didn't want to take any chance of her H1 COS getting approved without a I-94 because of her current H4 expiring in summer.

This if u sent your packet by US postal mail . Fedex and other courier dont deliver to PO boxes . There is another street address for other courier.

I am wondering if the P.O Box address is right and should i wait for 90 days or call them based on Lockbox receipting update bec as per Aug10th release TSC shows done receipting till June 28th? Is there a way to inquire regarding my application?

I was just wondering if they stall the 485 processing once they issue an RFE on EAD. Would they hold the case in abeyance or are these two mutually exclusive.
Btw, am not sure of the reason for RFE yet.
Has anyone had their 485 approved with an RFE pending on EAD or AP?

Just carrying a copy of the receipt is sufficient. Normally the officer will only be interested in the passport and original AP document - that was my experience recently coming into the country.

In september my dates became current and my GC and my spouse GC has been approved . However my lawyer recieved interview notices for me and my wife. What should be the next step. Ignore the notices as we recieved the Green card or do we need to attend the interview.
My advice "do not ignore it". Best is to take an infopass and get it resolved. Else attend the interview. Take a local lawyer if you need and tell the officer that you already have a GC. It is better to personally close this issue than reklessly abandon it hoping that it will close by itself. It can create more mess than you can handle.

I haven't had "any" FP yet, but I have my EAD and my advanced parole for tavel. I also have my H1B current and stamped in my passport.
Last time I got H1B stamped in the embassy, they took my fingerprits, 10 fingers (I also asked if they want the 10 toes :D)
Can that fingerprinting in the embassy be the reason why they haven't sent any notices for my fingerprinting?
Should I be worried?
Can somebody, please, tell me how do you ask for a service request?

Did they take the print of your four fingers (excluding the thumb) together? If not, then the fingerprinting you underwent was not the same.

Even I am in the same boat... planning on a 3 week vacation to get the 1 year extension. Can you please update the thread with your case results? Did you take the vacation, and could you recapture it?

I have applied I-140 and I-485 on July 2. I think I forgot to attach one experience letters to it. Can I attach it to that I-140 after getting the receipt #? what is the procedure?
